Amos 6-9 Psalm 126

These prophets, man, and their Hollywood scenes. Can you imagine the grit necessary to look up at the king and say:

“You say I should be quiet. God says your wife will be a prostitute.” Except, the way I see it play out, he doesn’t use the sanitary term there. I mean, come on!

His life is pretty much being threatened here. He’s being told to leave the country and go do his prophet thing somewhere else because they don’t want to hear it, (to be fair, it’s a pretty grim message), and he just doubles down. He straight up repeats the worst of it all right there.

I mean, I can only hope I would have that kind of faith, that kind of resolve and integrity. I sincerely hope I never have to find out whether or not I do.
