Proverbs 7-9 Psalm 149

So one thing I’d like to comment on: wisdom is something to be pursued. It must be chosen, continuously. I feel like a lot of times we get this idea that someone intelligence and wisdom are inherent traits. Education is something you pursue, but intelligence or wisdom is something you’re born with.

The author of Proverbs makes it very clear that wisdom comes from an intentional effort. It must be sought. It must be chosen. It takes effort to consider wisdom in daily life. It must be brought to bear on our decisions.

That’s all. That’s the reflection. Remaining foolish is easy. It’s passive. It’s comfortable. It’s just drifting through life making intuitive decisions based on personal desire. Wisdom is intentional, engaged, conscientious. Anyone can pursue wisdom, and anyone can be a fool.
