Isaiah 64-66 Psalm 121

This is my favorite Psalm.

“I lift my eyes up to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.”

It has brought me comfort when I most needed it. Courage when when I was afraid. When I am anxious, the verse springs to mind, reminding me that I am not alone, and the one that is with me is the Lord of all. What is there to fear when Lord of heaven and earth is on my side?

Does it remove all anxiety? No. My body does not respond to stressful stimuli the way it should. But it gives me a peace the goes beyond my heart rate, beyond lightheadedness. It sees me through the anxiety. It gives me a place to focus.

“The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”

What more is there to say?
