Proverbs 4-6 Psalm 148

So I have a feeling Proverbs may prove difficult to respond to. I don’t know. I might be surprised. I don’t know that I would call them succinct, they kind of repeat themselves quite a bit in order to make their points, but that’s kind of the thing: they’re pretty straight forward.

What do I have to extrapolate or question or mull over? The applications are all right there.

I don’t want to reword the Scripture. This is meant to be my reflection, my understanding or lack there of, my application. It’s somewhat different from the days when I’m not feeling well or am too tired or for whatever other reason don’t feel drawn to a particular verse or event or concept.

I don’t know. We’ll see. Today all I can say is that I hope you’re reading the Scripture for yourself instead of depending on my reactions. I’m not even summarizing it for you. I love sharing this journey, and I know there’s value in reading along with someone else, but the passages that speak to me are not going to be the passages that speak to you, at least not always.
