Ezekiel 28-30

I’ve been doing this for almost a year now. I’ve been adding tags to each post. I wish I had been adding thematic titles to the Bible study posts as well. Mostly because once again I have nothing specific to say about this section, and I’m a bit curious how many times this has occurred and how often.

I know this isn’t the first time. I know I have used days like this to encourage the daily habit, to discuss using outside sources, to reassure you that it’s okay if not every passage has a personal and timely application… I just can’t remember how often. Especially since I have not always maintained the schedule as I had intended.

I don’t think it’s been very often, really. If I had to guess, I’d say somewhere in the vicinity of five times? Certainly less than ten, right? Out of nearly 200, that’s not bad.

Remember, it’s the spirit you bring to the study. Are you coming in a spirit of prayer? Open to the leading of the Holy Spirit? If you can honestly say yes, I sincerely believe that is what is most important.

We are asked to show up. To surrender. To seek God’s will and attend it as best we can. Some days, we’ll be tired. Somedays, we’ll be reading a passage of scripture that perhaps reinforces or continues the previous passage (which doesn’t make for a good blog post). Are you still there? Are you still open? Are you still searching, reflecting on what you’ve read? Then I’m proud of you.
